As brides look forward to their wedding day, they may be anticipating the moment where they get to interact with their groom for the first time that day. There are a few different options for how the first interaction happens, and it all comes down to your personal preferences as a couple.
At the Barn at Graver’s Tree Farm, our property boasts multiple private locations for a first look or first touch, as well as different wedding ceremony sites to choose from if seeing each other as the bride walks down the aisle is the direction you choose to go. Learn more about each interaction choice and the places you can experience each one at the Barn at Graver’s.
A First Look On Your Wedding Day 👀
A first look is a fantastic way to calm your nerves before your wedding ceremony. It gives you a private moment together away from the excitement and fast-pace of the rest of the day.
In many cases, a first look also allows time to take some wedding portraits of just the bride and groom together, which can cut back on photo-time after the ceremony and allow you to enjoy more of your cocktail hour.
At the Barn at Graver’s Tree Farm, we have various locations for a first look, including in our tree fields, on our pond beach or dock, and a bridge above a stream tucked into the trees. With a tour of our property, we can show you all of the options for your first look.
A First Touch On Your Wedding Day ✨
If you’d like to maintain the tradition of seeing each other for the first time during the ceremony itself but want to have a meaningful interaction beforehand, a first touch gives you this opportunity. It allows you to exchange letters, share private vows, or pray together, all while calming your nerves and preserving that surprise of turning the corner to walk down the aisle.
The Barn at Graver’s Tree Farm has many beautiful corners around our barn or in front of our bridal suite or groom’s suite that make for beautiful photos during your intimate moment. We’re happy to show you our property on a tour and help you decide where it may be an intimate, quiet place for your first touch.
Waiting to See One Another Until the Ceremony 💐
Waiting to see one another until the bride walks down the aisle during the ceremony is a classic and memorable moment. This preserves that timeless wedding tradition and allows you to share your genuine reactions with your family and friends. Often, this results in the ceremony being a bit more emotional and unforgettable for everyone.
We have three beautiful wedding ceremony sites available to see on tours with us that can help you decide the mood you’d like surrounding that very first time the bride and groom connect on their wedding day.
